We believe a good Real Estate blog should offer three main things, and we want to give them to you.
Strong, Reliable Market Insight
Naturally Residential Real Estate is not just a Market driven transaction. Your home feeling right is important. I imagine how my kids will grow up in and around a home, but I think that the ups and downs of the market dictate so much of the transaction that it’s vital we get the facts and figures out of the way. Too many times we’ve had buyers find the ideal property that checks off everything on their list, but the price stops them from completing the purchase. Look to the market data first, then see whether or not there are enough mature trees or the open concept is perfect for you. It’s better in the long run for your emotional well being.
What’s “In” and Why?
It’s also important to talk about those checkboxes everyone writes on their list. Mature trees, good neighborhoods, room for a family to grow, or the perfect patio to watch the world go by. What are the things we are seeing in homes, what are buyers asking for in a home purchase, and where are people asking to see property? These are the wants and needs that dictate how your home should sell if you are a seller, and what is popular (and therefore, more competitive) if you are a buyer. Emotionally, though, these are the things that really drive a housing market, because they directly correlate to supply and demand, those two parent gods of capitalism. What is “in” in our area is a large question. Hopefully we will be able to answer it for you, and I think there should be some great photos in this area as well.
Who we Are and Why We Are Here
Finally, I think it’s important for us to highlight on who we are as a team and our story here in the Real Estate market of Northern Nevada. I think the amount of choices that exist for buyers and sellers these days is both fantastic and overwhelming. But I think the best way to navigate the complicated and stressful process of buying or selling a home (and most authorities agree with me) is by choosing the right representative. Why use a Realtor and Why work with us are two questions anyone can answer, but I think this aspect of the blog should do more to highlight who we are than it is a pitch as to why work with us. This is very much going to be the most difficult portion for me; I’m a private person for the most part, and I’m not into talking about myself. However, I think it’s so important you know who the rest of the team and I are, that I am going to step out on a limb. Hopefully, we can get this into a video format more often than not, I think this content will be best in that platform.
Ambitious, but every day is another shot at accomplishing our goal of serving this community the best way we can. It’s my hope that we can do this through building as personal a relationship with the community as we can.
